Details

You might think because of its size that baby corn is grown from miniature corn plants, but it’s actually just the developing sweetcorn cob which has been picked before becoming starchy and maturing out.

The babycorn has healthy amounts of fibre. Getting more fiber in your diet offers a number of health benefits, including a lower risk of heart disease and Type 2 diabetes. Fibre in foods such as baby corn can help keep you feeling full thus reducing the desire to eat between meals. Plus it is an easy food to persuade children to eat.  Simply rinse and enjoy as is or cooked.
